    We are comparing Blackpool at the mo . The two aforementioned are paid huge sums by Sky , so gates don’t matter a jot do they?

    Plenty of nice places to live in between Clitheroe and Preston for starters. Just like signing for City, you dont have to live near the town centre, but agree, Blackpool is the biggest dump Ive visited in recent years.

    Investment suggests a dividend. Very little dividend in football. A lot of the money you suggest is borrowed against the club.

    I'm pretty sure some owners of your acquaintance have received dividends. As your rightly point out "Because it’s what is wrong with football. Teams living beyond their means on borrowed money", but two admins is fine is it ?

    Spanish clubs have been allowed all sorts of dubious tax breaks by the Spanish Government. It has allowed them to have, what some would say, is a massive unfair advantage. The UK government acting in isolation will struggle. It is an issue for the financially credible impartial organisations such as FIFA & UEFA. Surely?

    Looking at the votes for this they voted against a new clause 3 which would have meant 10 Premier League games had to be shown free-to-air every season plus the League Cup final and all 3 EFL play off finals which is disappointing.

    Yes they are the torch bearers of financial fair play, they champion evenhandedness. Clearly they are unimpeachable. They avoid any type of corruption. They ensure that there is a level playing field. Every transaction is totally transparent. They award tournaments with an evenhanded approach. The people in office are elected on the basis of ‘one season ticket holder one vote’. They put out their election credentials online. None of them has any interest in a league or indeed a team. These guys don't need fridges….butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths!

    Its strange because Blackpool away is one fixture our fans look for first in the calendar - as do most fans I imagine. January 4th is abysmal btw.

    I imagine the wealthier footballers who sign for Blackpool live in Lytham St Annes. Pretty good golf course there I hear...

    I live about 10 miles away from Blackpool sadly! I know a couple of the players from Fleetwood and Blackpool and the majority live on some very nice estates about 15 miles outside of Blackpool. Not many live in Lytham, very expensive. I know a current Premier League manager lives in Lytham though in a very impressive house!
