It is 2 each, but we wont go into the season with just Kav and Cook on the books for example because we only use 1 striker. Power has barely played for 2 years and Patto misses games every season, we'd be crazy to go into the season with just 4 CMs in the hope our main 2 stay fit. Stacking the defence with experience is going to mean we are going to need youth loans in other areas to make up the numbers and they are a gamble. For ever Tayo there's a Tolaji Bola.

Surely Humprys is deemed an option for CF as well. Yeh weve heard he has played better as an AM/WG but I only see a young youth loan coming in up top to boost numbers. Hopefully we are surprised and its someone with quality.

CM we deffo need another of quality but I also expect Leigh will get a chance there this season too. There is always Oduor as a 5th choice. Is he surplus? Im not convinced. GA said he was injured since February which is why he didnt feature.

 

I dont mind the experience we have now if indeed Pennington does sign , I’d really like a couple of young centre midfielders though for some legs , fornah fits perfectly to me. Also really hoping we go out and get a young striker to with some pace as someone mentioned earlier in the mould of tovide at Colchester

With the changes that are going on with strikers at Wrexham and the Phil Parkinson connection I'm surprised there hasn't been suggestion Wells could join Wrexham

Isn’t Parker rehashing this mornings clickbait story aka QPR “ suggestion” which was debunked as b/s ? We all know he trawls this forum.

 

Yes last season showed why . Halliday and Richard’s in a back three at different times. Season before Ridehalgh had to play there because we ran out .

 

I'd imagine he's spoken to the club who have been told by Wells' reps that he doesn't want to drop down to league 1.

 

I'd say we need 1 more to bring us up to 6 senior defenders then that gives us 2 per position whilst allowing Goodman to go out on loan or play some games for the U19s. If we went with 5 and Goodman it would only take 1 injury to leave us in a precarious position

Issue we have is a lot of numbers but not a lot of quality

They don’t “scout” all that much .Fry has a massive connection base with coach / managers all over the South East , East Anglia etc.

If DM was only concerned with cash then he wouldn’t need Fry taking £400,000 out of the club last season. He’d use his own “ scout within the club” and save a fortune . He can’t !
