Big ask too soon? He barely played last season didn't he for the youth team after his knee injury issues I think? Be tough going from youth football to L1, Goodman might be a guy we send to a BPA/Guiseley type for a few months to get game time and look at him again in the winter.

 

I'd absolutely snatch your hands off for Clarke Harris, he'd be a great example of an ambitious signing for this level.

33 appearances last year according to soccerbase and hasn't made less than 43 in the 5 seasons prior.

 

He was in 36 of the 46 L1 matchday squads last season, started 19. Missed some time with hamstring issues it looks like. Even though he's the Rotherham captain, he completed 90 mins just once from Jan to the end of the season and was more often than not a bench player.

Looks like each of the last few seasons he has some calf and hamstring issues that need managing.

 

Oh yes I get that , managed time seems to be key but can we cope with “so many” managed players in a squad?

 

If he's rotating with Cook and Kavanagh I don't see why not. He's certainly not a crock, or his appearance record over multiple years certainly doesn't suggest that.
