I did hear that rumour a few hours ago, right sided wing back/winger - would be a quality signing.

Tomkinson, I think, will be a decent signing for someone. I'd have like him here if we could have persuaded him to take that RCB spot from Baldwin.

Alexander didn't fancy him at the end. He went away with the US U23's and never played again.

 

He looked very good when I saw him. Surprised he'd want to move but you never know.

 

Players will want to go to Luton - just think of the opportunity for promotion winning bonuses. This is why some players don't mind repeatedly dropping down a league. If they are confident of promotion, they'll take the risk knowing the bonuses will compensate for any drop in salary.

 

It was the loss of key players at the same time that cost us. Losing the entire first choice defence at one time and the entire first choice midfield later.

 

The problem is that I think we would suffer if we had kept the same cbs in Div 1. They may have been part of a team with the second best defence but as you say that was Div2. I would add they did not contribute enough goals too from set pieces and corners.
