I wouldn't have thought a scout would be looking at any of our players bar Lewis. None of the others would interest me as a buying club.

 

If you can have a look at the replay. It certainly changes elevation. The question before or after Lewis ? It’s worth a look.

 

I was certain Lewis tipped it over the bar. Was waiting for the corner but there were no objections.

Funny, me and my lad were berating the number 24 for being a bit naff then we joked he'll probably stick the free kick in. It definitely hit the bar, my lad just said so.Best player on the pitch for me was their 20, reminded me a little bit of another player I rate at Blackburn called Adam Wharton. I thought Tyler Smith showed some nice touches but looks more a striker than a wide player. A conundrum for Hughes is how to get the best out of Walker, Pattison, Smith and East, who all give us the mobility we lacked at times last season.

 

Why not. They had Halliday a few years ago and McLaughlin recently.

 

I can’t see East getting anywhere near unfortunately. Thought he did ok yesterday but did give the ball away leading to one of their many chances.

 

A lot of the SPL is top-end League One standard. It wouldn’t be a surprise if they scouted players in this league were it not for the fact they’ve just signed Jack Butland as no1 on a four year deal..

Mcgregor has moved on but they still have Jonny Mac and another backup keeper too.

 

East was given a chance to impress yesterday and didn’t take it

 

Hard for him to impress with that midfield set up. To be honest we were rudderless first half and I wouldn't want to see us have that line up in a league game.

 

That’s extremely harsh. He’s a L2 midfielder up against three at CC level. We need to be realistic !

 

East never lets anyone down but you can’t see where he fits into our midfield. Snallwood isn’t getting benched as skipper/on the money he’s on.

mcDonald hasn’t come here to sit on the bench, nor Pattison. Gillead was better than Smallwood and is fourth choice, if not a starter ahead of injured McDonald.

East is fifth pick, if not sixth if Osudebe is capable of holding down a place this year?

 

I think East is tidy but lightweight as others have said he is down the pecking order along with Osedebe

 

I know. Some think Osadebe should go out on loan……absolute madness.

 

I know he had a bad injury so allowances had to be made but to me his legs move faster than his brain works he is always unbalanced when running. He has had a full preseason to catch up on fitness so let’s hope he pushes on now. But I doubt it.

 

He might be like Damion Stewart He started off poor and just got better and better….

 

Weve done ok with reggae boyz. Maybe we need to start looking again.

Just reading up on him. I forgot we had him on loan, thought he was ours. I remember him moving onto QPR, but thought it’s cos we couldn’t extend his contract. Too bad that.
