Who does or doesn't give a damn about it is irrelevant. It's a perfectly valid question in the correct thread on a public forum.

A flurry of news next week could see those undecided to purchase a season ticket. Driving sales is part of the clubs job as it add more money to the coffers thus allowing us to bring in a better quality of player and in turn increase of our chances of promotion.

Its quite a simple procedure.

Clubs are not just going to sign players for 'Marketing' barring Man Utd and look how shite they're now.

If you don't buy into the club then don't buy a season ticket. Simple.

If you haven't understood we have moved away from buying 'named players' on their last legs I can't help you.

We'll sign better players in the coming weeks because the season starts in July not to drive up season ticket sales.

Oh dear. Let me try and simplify this for you. Nobody is suggesting clubs sign players for 'marketing' purposes alone as you put it, but that the timing of announcements of signings is part of the overall marketing process to push season tickets. That a business man of your standing doesn't seem to get this is quite remarkable.

No, I don't. This is 2022 football. Clubs don't do that now. They do business when it can be done at the best possible price.

One or 2 signings isn't going to get fans excited. Some clubs haven't signed anyone. You back the club or you don't!

I’ve been reliably informed by our experienced company marketing manager that social media posts get the most hits when posted on tuesdays and thursdays. I have no idea why but apparently is the case.

 

I don’t believe signings influence season ticket sales anyway either you are buying one or not. I don’t think the signing of players at this level really excite. What undoubtedly has had a big influence is the appointment of Mark Hughes as manager.
