Summer 2021 Transfers

300k would be good business but the problem imo is the timing. Who we realistically gonna get in tomorrow at short notice without being held to ransom?

 

I presume any incoming business we do is going to be on loan? We haven’t loaned anyone this year have we?

just waiting for the domino effect so those out in the cold can be freed up to go out by the parent clubs?

 

For a lad who’s only 21 or so in his 2nd full season, I don’t think he’s done too bad. It’s not often our players are linked with a transfer fee, so someone is seeing the potential I think he has. In a few years time we may look back and wish we’d kept hold of him longer.

 

Well chaps 25 hours to go. Tomorrow could be interesting and could really make our season, but I doubt it could break it. Enjoy.

Bogle looks like he’s lost his way but it could be an inspired signing if Adams can put an arm around him and coax him back to form. Scored for fun in the Conference North at Solihull Moors - 29 in 41 in his last season there. At Grimsby 19 in 27 in L2 before Wigan took him to the Championship.

He seems to have had more clubs than Tiger Woods lately but he’s commanded good transfer fees and it is clear there is ability there.

Adams and Sparks have made a point in the past about signing players with the right attitude. Let’s hope they’ve done their due diligence on this one….could rip apart morale if he’s sulky but, on the flip side, he has the talent to tear League Two apart if he fancies it.

 

We're probably looking to see who a championship or league one club signs and therefore which club might release someone on loan or permanently.

 

You’re right, but fans were happy to get shut of Cook and Angol and comments on Lavary weren’t good. So we could have a forward line of rejects, but so was Wells so at this level I wouldn’t expect anything else. If there’s someone been banging 15-20 goals a season including last season in the EFL, we aren’t getting him it’s just where we’re at.

 

Probably the start of random names thrown our way, but there's an Instagram post linking us to Jahmal Hector-Ingram. Pacey 22 year old striker, 6ft, has played wide left and right too at youth levels for West Ham. Was at Derby, few games off the bench then loaned to Stevenage. Played 6 minutes for Stevenage on loan last season, seemed to miss out a lot due to too many loans in the squad and a few knocks.

Derby released him in the summer and their fans were 'baffled' by it. Might be nothing in it, but Richard O'Donnell liked the transfer post.

Also, Hector-Ingram in the 2020 Covid halted season, was nominated for the U23 PL2 seasons player of the year at Derby after getting 22 goals that U23 season. Derby had him around the squad for the first parts of the season but was 5th/6th choice, then sent out to Stevenage, victim of circumstance, Stevenage had 10 strikers at different spells in their squad last season.

 

Suprised Turnbull hasn't come out with some soundbites. You know, seeing he's the recruitment manager, and todays the transfer deadline.

 

Turned down a pro contract @ WHU and went to Derby.
He's certainly quick, but wasn't prolific in the PL2/U18 teams for us.
