I suspect he sees Foulds as a potential starter.

He mentioned something about speaking to Martinez and Everton and others who gave great reports. I suspect Foulds also stayed because Adams was coming, he nearly signed him at Morecambe and he wanted to work with him. Foulds did also get more minutes towards the end of last season so perhaps Adams sees him as a starter.

I don't think we've seen enough of him to be able to say if he's a first choice or back up tbh and Connor seemed managers favourite.

As you say Adams must have liked what he saw when trying to bring him to Morecambe, he must have shown promise for him to catch Everton's eye and them to pay a fee, my only concern is his lack of any standard of football over the last 5 or so years.

I never saw anyone refer to Cook as "that white lad", or anyone other white player for instance.

I don't understand the mentality around accepting us signing players that are considered 'back up'
We should be signing players capable of competing for places in the starting 11 every week not simply because the first choice is out injured.
When I read or hear terms like 'back up' or 'bench warmer' it seems we're accepting mediocre players playing for this club. If there's doubts about a players ability to perform in a position then we shouldn't be signing them.

 

Yeah some people are down on Paudie and Canavan but IMHO I feel they will prove to be one of the best partnerships in the division next year (injuries willing)

 

And agreed on the Sikora loan... can always recall from National league if required if my understanding of the current loan system is correct
