Im very laid back over Mr Rahics approach on all things BCAFC. Yet to get my knickers in a twist like others, and especially you.

On there as captain - a few missing though. Not seen him on any training pictures though.

Don't know what the second sentence means but I'll just file it under despicable and assume you are inciting hatred.

Agreed; I would expect an owner to be involved, but as @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam implies above, I would also want that owner to stay on the right side of the involved/interfering line. For example, determining a "house" playing style -- tight defensive, free-flowing attacking, wing-play, etc. -- and then hiring suitable staff to deliver that style would for me be on the right side of that line, telling the coaches which players to play, "springing" players on them, insisting on specific tactics in certain situations, and so on, would not. A div. 3 side such as ourselves is a relatively small and simple organisation, but there is still enough else for an owner to look after -- let the specialists do their jobs.

As you pointed out Seedorf is a strange one if we go 3-5-2, and I'm sure Wolves won't be happy with him being a bench player given their high expectation of his potencial.

I think one key factor this time is the fact we have kept most of last seasons squad together but added players in some key areas.

Previous years we have almost had to start again with the first xi each year. Consistency was key under Parky as we had a very similar spine each year and hopefully we can get back to that.

Whether it’s stronger we don’t know for certain but that’s same for any side who buys players. We don’t know until the season starts.

Still missing 2 or 3 I feel in attacking areas.

This was one of the times I wanted to start again after the capitulation witnessed last season.

The number brought in so far feels like we're starting again with a new first XI.

Certainly developments at VP influence my grumbles, but I deliberately avoided putting a name to "owner" in hopes that the comments would be seen as being generally applicable and not just as more Edin-bashing.

Anyways, I wouldn't know for certain that the first and third examples in my list are now(*) occurring at City; my middle example was indeed City-based -- what we could call "The Curious Case of Lachlan Barr." When a player rejected by the coaching staff suddenly appears with a contract in his pocket, someone somewhere has been meddling. In this particular case, if not the owner, then who else would have had the authority to make the signing?

(*) Wasn't there some fuss under previous ownership about limiting a player's appearances in order to avoid triggering a contract extension? Lewis Hunt I believe? But that, too, is done by all sorts of owners in all sorts of sports -- in the NHL for example, with players kept in the minors.

Think it may be 343 with only 1 striker. Much like Chelsea play with hazard and Willian playing just off giroud/morata

Funny. I did wonder if there was a clause in Hiwula's loan deal the season before last that meant we had to pay more if he made a certain number of appearances. Might explain why it seemed like every time he scored he was then dropped for the next match

Oh look another happy clapping thread. Nobody can put their hand on their heart and categorically state we are stronger (or weaker for that matter). Once the boys have been playing together for a while (at least 10games), we will have a better idea.

As you know, I don’t buy into the shizzle that playerA must be good because he played for a Premier League youth team, or the second team of a German side etc. They are unproven at this level and no amount of bigging them up prior to them playing is going to change my view.

We have made a few good signings too, but stronger (definitely), I’m not convinced.....yet!

Think you're spot on there, plus there were reports of him being a negative influence.
