    Part of me hopes he doesn't play at Scunthorpe.

    He made his first team debut, on 14 September 2002, playing for City against Walsall. It seems appropriate that, amost 16 years later, he should end his career playing for City against Walsall.

    Excellent post. Totally agree..... I know he seems set for punditry but I cant help but think that with his experience, desire to pass on his knowledge to the youngsters, knowing our players and his contacts in the game, he would be an excellent candidate for the managers position at City.

    There is an excellent interview with Stephen on I-Follow. I would love to see him given a coaching or management position. He is an articulate speaker, has played at the highest level and would be a great role model for young players.

    Grayson made a similar comment that Stephen came in today for training and you would have thought he was an 18 year old coming in for his first ever training session rather than his last and he trained as normal very hard.

    What a level headed lad, being told he could stay at Liverpool and possibly play 200 games for Liverpool or move on and play 400 at other clubs, and as a pro he wanted game time, what a very good interview.

    I thought it was a nice gesture from a good proportion of the Scunthorpe fans to applaud him off the pitch as well as City fans when he was substituted.
