There will always be 'foreign' investor looking to buy an up and coming lower league English football Club.
R & R were looking for a Club like ours, a solid fan base focal on historical heritage, both as a football club, and city - working class, and working class ethics. Yet EDIN tried to change all that ............. far too quickly, and a great lack of skill and knowledge led to his eventual ousting. Talk about back peddling !!

The likes of you and I have witnessed so many ups, and downs in the past - We just know that good will eventually follow a period of fallow. We are now just enduring the final taste of bad, before we start to build our next 'success'.

Pleased to see this. I had already decided to start a thread that suggested that it is now high time that we had a statement from the club telling us what the future intentions of the Club were for the long term. Season ticket sales depend on it sure, but there is much more at stake than that. Rupp is a reluctant owner and 20,000 interested parties are keen to see what kind of future he is planning, and big names associated with the Club have a right to some kind of direction.

Is Baldwin coming as part owner in a consortium

 

Baldwin was involved with a consortium interested in purchasing from Rahic before, so it's not beyond the realms they are reprising that.

 

Can I also add I personally have nothing to gain from the info just passing on what I was told a few weeks ago which I then questioned some who know the board at burnley and it wasn't being denied. Since then I have had messages telling me when the deal goes through at Burnley they already have a club lined up in league 1 to which they want to invest and is only a hour away in yorkshire.

Mike Garlick is majority shareholder at Burnley and I thought he had or has an interest in buying Bolton. He is the least wealthy of Premier league chairman at 50million. However I haven’t seen anything to suggest Burnley are close to being sold

Burnley have been on the market for a while although not publicly they have always said if somebody with more money can take the club further they will happily move aside.
