They in all honesty had to sort out the mess left by others ............. the man who was part of this mess still remains at the club and on the brink of the national league ??????? Stop being so dramatic

By taking the personal way by asking for one either in person or online. He seems reasonable enough to me. I don’t think facing a baying mob forum is the answer either a small group or a one to one. It worked when people wanted Rahic out

Not being dramatic MrAngry just stating facts that things were much worse on and off the field and far closer to the National league in the first 5 years of Lawn and Rhodes. As for they sorted the mess left by others ,Julian Rhodes was there and in charge for the previous 5 years before Lawn with two relegations.

I can't believe you are now comparing who made the bigger mess between the current owners vs the previous owners. Is this really how low some fans sink to stick up for Sparks & Rupp??? What a shame we can't be singing the praises of those leading our club rather than comparing who made the biggest feck up

For the record I'll take absolutely nothing away from Lawny, he openly admitted that taking the club up to the championship & beyond would be out of his capabilities and he sold us. He is City through & through, in fact he was sat behind me in the directors boxes on Tuesday night in his Balenciaga fleece and pork pie hat, supporting us in a game that means very little to a lot of our fans and on a freezing cold evening

I'll tell you this for free - you won't see Rupp, Sparks or any of their useless cronies at a VP match ever again once they inevitably depart the club!!

No winners or losers in this one Mr Grumpy
All about opinions and I respect that
Like many many others I want to see the club progress and that surely means changes at the top
Surely even you and @Park bantam@Park bantam agree with that !!!!

So your big upping Rupp for not taking us near the national league well what a bleeding amazing achievement that is.............is that what the forward thinking is for folk like you .........happy to be clear of national league football ????
As for being on the brink of the national league
2011 we finished 5 points off after more or less giving up with a fair few games to
2012 6 points clear when again we probably gave up with games to go.

On the brink is what happened to Brighton anf Carlise both needing to win there final game we at no point came near to that.

Btw Rhodes was there at the time before the Lawn years and he made mistakes but at least you knew he cared unlike your hero.

Wasting your time after 6 years they had us out of this league and a major cup final.

Rupp has had 2 years more and sent us from a team on the brink of the Championship to a team that are nothing but a midtable league two side.

I actually think Sparks should go for the good of his health and not decrying Lawns commitment but had to point out that it wasn’t always rosy and the hysteria and hate campaign against Sparks is over the top. I’m not stooping low to stick up for Rupp and would like a takeover but he won’t sell at a loss.

As I quoted to another critic of mine who thought I was insulting his mate Lawn by pointing out it wasn’t always rosy under him. I actually think Sparks should go for the sake of himself and his mental health and I do wish Rupp would sell but I’ve no doubt he’s a hard nose business man and he won’t sell at a loss.

As again see the reply to my other critics ,I think Sparks should go for his own benefit and I wish Rupp would sell but he’s not daft enough to sell for a cut price deal. No we have massively underachieved mainly through poor recruitment but I had to point out it wasn’t always rosy under Lawn and Rhodes but they got it right with eventual good recruitment. Folk like me eh wow!

Put a quality CEO in place, and the absentee owner issue becomes minor. CEO's set the culture and direction for a business.

Successful businesses, and successful football clubs all have a CEO that leads from the top, breeds positive culture and keepsxa ship on track.

Sparks is failing in his role of CEO and until he goes, it doesn't matter how many managers we appoint. He simply isn't CEO material.

If Sparks doesn't want to go, i mean let's face it... who would want to be unemployed?

Could he not bring in a number 2? Or someone to help him at least?

I guess that's Gent, but if he's just head of recruitment we surely need someone to run the football stuff that's not just incomings/outgoings. Like building an identity

So, basically what you are saying one man wants to put himself before say 20k fans around the world? Football is a community thing. I am sure a CEO would be able to find another job. Mason did and those before him.

This is the clubs problem the two main people in Rupp and Sparks are thinking about themselves and not what is best for the club.

Why should fans spend their hard earned money and time when the CEO is just thinking about him?

Look, we need Sparks gone! End of!

I'm thinking of realistic ways to move him away from football decisions.

Mason is full on granny's onion gravy made with genuine stock and meat juices, and thickened with loving care and skill. Sparks is add boiling water to instant powder and stir forever with little success. The former is genuine CEO material. The latter a social media jockey. Could you see Sparks being anything other than tea boy at Welcome to Yorkshire ?
