Potentially made worse by not taking him off straight away. You'd think we'd have learnt by now but apparently not.

That sounds quite encouraging, in particular regarding Shepherd, Baldwin and Pattison:

With Holloway thinking Swindon are haunted, have we thought of getting an exorcist down to the training ground and VP? Nothing else seems to be working so worth a go

    Aden Baldwin
    Ciaran Kelly
    Neill Byrne
    Antoni Sarcevic
    Alex Pattison
    Tyreik Shite
    Callum Johnson

Have I missed anyone out? 7 first teamers who have hardly played for us

Pattison has been another useless signing. Jake Reeves all over again

Of those can't say any of them have been much better than average even when they have played. Byrne looks solid if unspectacular, Pattison shown glimpses of form but the rest? Meh. Sarce looked average but again with this team I'm not sure we were using him to his best.

    Yeah agree

oh I forgot to mention Joe Adams, who lasted a massive 18 minutes for us before getting clamped and returned to Wigan

In the T&A they have said yesterday that Baldwin, Sarcevic and Pattison are all coming back into things at training but again, Johnson sounds no closer. He had a private session on the grass last Monday and hasn't trained since says GA.

Pay him off and have done with it. All he is doing is wasting a number in the squad allocation.

Madness If we do anything different as he is no nearer to being ready than he was in August.

Sick of signing players who come here with history of long term injuries. I suspect this signing is down to Sharp.

Seems a brainless signing as he's a RB/RWB and even if fit he wasn't getting ahead of Halliday and he has maybe been replaced by Benn anyway? He'd be 3rd choice RB and in these squad allocation days we don't need 3. He played about 10/15 games in his career as a right sided CB in a back 3, even in that slot he's about our 6th choice? Seems weird holding onto someone who wont even get gametime.

Luckily re: Johnson, he's a right back/wing back/whatever back/we'll never really know back, which are all positions Halliday occupies really nicely. Jay Benn, Johnson's replacement, also looks useful.

Had Johnson been a left wing back, given what's happened to Richards/Wright, I think there would be a lot more anger about a very, very easily avoidable situation.

As it is, looks like Callum has been done a solid favour because I'm not sure he'd have got a contract elsewhere, and if things don't improve, he might as well call it a day because I doubt he's getting a deal with an EFL club in the Summer.

Not that I have anything against the lad, of course, just a really bad signing. I think everyone immediately saw it is an unnecessary risk, and here we are.

Yep think Alexander is fed up of flogging this dead horse too.

Ran on the grass on last Monday and takes another week off, Christ that's some cushy number.

For Alexander to say, it's Upto Callum now to decide when he can follow a training session with another training session makes you think the lad is taking the piss or has serious mental concerns around breaking down yet again. If it's the latter he might aswell give up the ghost now and cash in on whatever insurance he'd likely be entitled to and learn another trade whilst he still can

If I remember rightly, Lee Angol has always had a similar problem and Adams called him out on it before? In Angols case, he has had multiple ligament and hamstring issues on both legs and since can only really play if he never really sprints.

I guess with Johnson, the slightest twinge he feels he will go back to a more mental state. Could well be something mental is holding him back more than his physical limits. I'd be amazed if he got another EFL club in his career after ours. He's 28 now and hasn't held down a spot in a team for 2 or 3 years now. He's missing his entire prime.
