However he states, ‘the three long-term absentees could be back working with the squad again in just over a week’. So let’s say Monday 25th November. They then need to get back to full fitness and match prepared. So probably not ready for any significant involvement before 9th December. Alexander has said that Kelly is behind the others given the severity of his injury. Expect one (at least) to suffer a reversal.

I'm assuming Baldwin had another setback? He was only supposed to be out for "a couple of weeks" with a hamstring issue from Alexanders interview on Sept 3rd. At the start of October he was a few weeks away according to the manager and was due back on the training pitch after the Tranmere game.

It's a type of bike m8. GA should never have agreed to him having one, let alone letting him ride it just before a game.

How many of the current injured players have been injured during matches and how many during training?

So much for flogging them to death in preseason, riding bikes for miles and playing when fatigued. Who the hell signed off on that? Maybe damage done during those few weeks has started to manifest itself now. Will we ever have a full squad to choose from before it’s too late to make an impact on the playoffs.

Richards going for a scan today on the extent of his shoulder after it popped out on Saturday. Baldwin, Sarcevic and Pattison expected back soon, with 2 expected to be back in full training in the coming days say the T&A.

Any 40 year old out of contract left wingbacks out there looking for a game for a couple of months?

He'd have already been paid by us for 2 months to just go to training and sit in the stands if there were one

It’s a huge concern Kelly and Richards have only been contact/ impact injuries and possibly odours whack. The rest are conditioning or even lack of it. Serious questions need to be asked on methods, coaches and facilities.

I’ve been calling this out since GA talked about us being unable to get on to the pitches at wood house due kids using it. Good example of how tin pot we are you do wonder how far this unprofessionalism reaches as they can’t be an isolated example.

It will all impact, the evidence this year is definitely backing this up.

Doing long bike rides is very common, Tony Pulis did it every pre-season with Stoke and it didn't do them any harm. I'm sure this pre-season will have been very similar to all of the many others Alexander has done so if it was so bad then I'm sure he would have found out long ago. Pre-season is meant to be very tough. Having a full squad to pick from it very rare every team picks up injuries throughout the season, it is just part of football.

Alexander and his team giving the big one pre-season about his tough abroad training now doesn't look to smart or clever. We have new fitness coaches come in during the summer, feature in the media about taking the players on a bike ride to never be heard of again
