I think that this is an issue for the club as we descend to League 2. We have a group of delinquent 14-18 year olds who have attached themselves to the Club. They arrive boozed up and drugged up particularly at away games and intent on a ruck !. This is policeable at League 1 level but in League 2 some of the grounds and stewarding will be far from adequate. There will be an "attitude" that "we are too big" to be at places like Solihull or Forest Green or wherever and some fans won't be there for the football. I see trouble ahead in more ways than one for the club !

 

We’ll be okay if we let the officials from Saturday judge. Was the ball outside the area when he collected it from the keeper? Probably just a right toe between them both

 

There's been criminals stealing a wage setting feet on the pitch since August. Can you please ban them for 3 years too?

 

Game’s going to the dogs. Seems overly heavy handed to me as well given the context. The high profile pitch encroachment offences at birmingham and hibs will be used as a way to uphold this though, even though they are totally different. It still won’t stop the random nutter intent on getting to a player, but the rarity of that type of thing happening should show you how the two have no commonality. Some will only be happy when you can have a virtual goal celebration app on a phone. That’s after they’ve had the goal checked by VAR for half an hour, meanwhile the ‘moment’ of celebation has passed, of course.

 

How depressing does a season have to be or how young do you have to be before the rules don't apply anymore. Not sure your definition of the pitch stands up to scrutiny either.

 

But they didn't go on the pitch, simple as that. Unless the definition of the pitch has extended to "anywhere but the stands" in order to criminalise a few more fans for getting over excited.

 

Disgraceful scenes! Imagine if would of ‘em had a knife. Or a bottle with a cap on.

As far as I can recall Rod, no nothing was ever brought against Millwall as a club or any individual supporters. I also emailed EFL about it separately and also included some of the footage from outside the ground. I pointed out that since New Wembley was opened only 1 team had invaded the pitch and put players at risk!! I also pointed out that it was about the 6th time that season they had invaded pitches at different grounds! I believe after months of waiting for a reply 'following the investigation' EFL said it was a matter for Wembley as they sorted staffing and for the FA even though a flagship EFL competition. Basically washed their hands of it.....cos of who it was and they'd just been voted EFL Family club of the year...think I posted on C&B to this effect at the time?

 

It's not pathetic really given the 3 incidents over the last few weeks involving player security. It is clearly stated and has been for years that you cannot leave the stands and enter the field of play. Yes I know there was no malice and people were excited but given what had happened before.....5 Newcastle fans have been charged for the exact same at Bournemouth and will have convictions and banning orders from all grounds.

 

Heavy handed when it suits, unwilling to take action when it doesn't is not a good mantra.

The authorities unfortunately have to take some blame, just as any inconsistent referee must when control begins to ebb away.

As long lessons are learned by the powers that be about consistency then fine.

Lets see how they react punishments arent handed out to clubs like Millwall when times aren't so politically charged.

 

And yet Edin Rahic kills our club and gets away Scot free... football is broken.
