Play Southend Saturday morning then straight through to Scunthorpe for 15:30 kick off, did it many a time at the end off the season in amateur football, and the way our lads have been performing recently it been like watching amateur football .

Probably the only thing going in our favour (of getting the game on) Knowing we only have 7 days to play three games means they will have to shift heaven and earth to get them on.. Failing that play tuesdays game at Huddersfield

Yes why not play them at Huddersfield's stadium it's the nearest well get to playing Premiership football .

 

I think they usually scatter the kick off times for the football league so they can cover all the action properly. So League Two is Saturday 3pm, League One Saturday 5.30pm and Championship Sunday 12:30.

 

Not looking too clever for either game :

 

That pitch of ours is a disgrace.The previous owners are to blame in my book.
Someone somewhere made a tidy profit out of all the previous attempts.
It was never this bad when Bobby Campbell was banging them in.
If we postpone again I can see an investigation by the football league into why we haven't had the playing surface re surfaced properly.
Rochdale managed to do it and it looked fine last Saturday.

 

My fault sorry for some reason I had it in my head it was a Sunday kick off . I must have been thinking of the play off final we will be attending.

 

Didnt the FA help Rochdale pay towards their pitch as Tottenham weren't happy about the cup tie on it, so had to be relaid pretty sharpish

 

Possibly be for sky tv, they can televise games at 1730’on a sat but not 1500 on a sat..

Yes Spurs paid the bill but the point I'm trying to make is the fact all previous attempts to rectify our pitch problems have been nothing more than an attempt to paper over and over again a surface not fit for purpose.
The drainage problems have never been addressed sufficiently after countless surveys and we are now suffering years of neglect through penny pinching contracts handed out to nothing more than get rich quick contractors who obviously specialized in creating paddy fields.

 

Rochdale paid for the pitch relaying, one of their directors said so, i think it was on talksport.

Can we gain another victory against a resurgent Southend?
My initial thoughts after Tuesdays win yes we can but not sure Southend will capitulate so easily like MK did so we will have to be on our game from the whistle.
