I noticed yesterday in the tweet announcing Watt's departure that there was no 'thanks and all the best Elliott' message like there was when Paudie and Charles left. I thought maybe they'd just forgotten but now they've done it with Sam as well, I'm starting to wonder if it was deliberately left out.

A move makes the most sense, and Colchester isn't a bad move all things considered!

 

Twin Grandsons will be happy, when not swanning around the Emirates with dad, daughter takes them to Colchester occasionally, getting in on “ family” deals. I wonder if they will each wear one of my City shirts?

Yes the Watt remarks weren’t called for, Hughes got the best out of him and I can’t imagine treated him badly he always gave him a hand shack and arm round him after a game. Probably Watt didn’t think much of his comments, naively imo as I found them disrespectful. But I suppose they were comments for his new club not us, and he couldn’t say I can’t wait to get started with this massive club lol. It’s certainly interesting that he wasn’t thanked by the club when all others were, a sign of his popularity perhaps?

 

Their fans seem pleased. Bit funny as he didnt always start there, despite them praising him when he did..

 

Good move for all parties I feel. I think he's a decent keeper tbh, just unfortunately not the one for us. Hope he does well for them and gets a good run of games (although if he can throw in a couple of OGs against us that'd be great).
I can't imagine we've got much of a fee, but once again it's good business from us!
