A depressing result tonight, we are riding high in the league and in the main we have done brilliantly away which has kept us up there but there is a feeling it’s going to drift away again without a rethink and possibly a couple of good signings in January. Promotion has to happen this year

What an absurd overreaction. We’re a work in progress and we’re 5th in the league.

If we’d have been offered at the start of the season the following scenarios going into the first game of December;

- 5th in the league
- our striker is the top scorer in the league with 13 league goals / 16 goals in all competitions
- Cup runs over but home wins over Hull and Sheff Wednesday along the way

We’d have all taken that. Get a sense of perspective ffs

We'd have been better off not playing this game. The tournament is irrelevant, and the opposition aren't easy pickings regardless of their league form.

I was disappointed when I found out we were still in it, to be perfectly honest, what bad timing.

Losing last night in this nonsense cup means absolutely nothing, but people have allowed it to add to the sense of us sinking.

I didn't watch it, listen to it, and I've no idea who played or who didn't, but I can tell you one thing - this result simply doesn't matter.
