    We have paid Matt Derbyshire a wage for 18 months, and because our CEO is useless we are paying David Sharpe to do his job for him.

    Let's not pretend this helps money go to the first team.

    David Sharpe isn't doing the same job as Ryan Sparks. That's like saying Colin Doyle as goalkeeper coach is going the same job as Graham Alexander.

    This is where we are, one of the top 92 clubs in the country are OK doing this because Salts U12s have people who do the same? Is that where we are?

    Also just because others do it doesn't mean by default it is right or it should be done. You'd think with the way football is and the rewards for unearthing the next Cole Palmer that if the club wants to profit out of it they could resource it a little bit, and like I have said we paid Matt Derbyshire for 18 months far more than it would cost to actually pay 3 people to work these roles.

    Well I suppose we have to save money wherever we can, to plug all those financial black holes caused by Sparks’ haphazard and wreckless approach to needless lengthy contracts of players and having to pay off managers….

    Let’s be honest, having an unpaid staff member for work experience is one thing. Advertising for 3 members of staff at the same time, each working gratis for up to 40 hours per week, is quite frankly taking the absolute piss

    He's been brought in to look after the football side when he is a capable CEO in his own right. Yet we keep Sparks and beg for volunteers.

    Whether Ryan Sparks was here or not we'd still have volunteers. Placing a job advert isn't begging. This is just complaining for the sake of it.

    If it is an important role then pay for it. Otherwise we only have ourselves to blame when another team picks someone from under our nose because we don't have some one turn up because they have had to work a shift at McDonald to earn a bit of spare cash.
