My point is Rupp has failed the club. Yes, Edin left. When @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler went to Germany with his backpack of facts I am sure he didn’t think or Rupp will just get rid of Edin and do nothing to advance the club! 5 years later we have just come backwards.

Sparks is running the club to please Edin Rupp but this is a football club and it’s on the pitch and football matters that count the most. Don’t come out with shite to fans if you don’t care about them. Bradford City don’t deserve the fan base it has because clearly no one in senior management gives a damn about us. No improvement to the club what so ever over the years.

Agree with some of what you say but my point was that Sparks continues to provide a top budget for a succession of managers, but until he looks at himself and what needs to be done differently he'll never know. You are right to use Salford as an example, but they're only ever going to be that small carbuncle on the arse of the two Manchester clubs and will struggle to put down a market in the leagues. Whereas I believe if we had that kind of set up here, we could certainly return to the championship. Papering over the cracks fixes nothing in the long term, you have to strip it back and start again. Something he seems reluctant to do. We were informed that it would take 5 years to rebuild the mess left by Rahicand that time had passed, yet we're currently worse off (on the pitch) than ever. It's time Rupp and Sparks came out and told us what the aim is, within what time frame and how they intend to achieve it.

When GA was Manager at Salford, they didn't have a training ground. They were training on local parks.

That’s it the owners have invested in other ways. Our owner has done Jack all.

Don’t disagree at all, without the QAnon stuff your comments make perfect sense, all supporters , sorry the majority , would very much agree with you, myself included.

Of course Ryan is under pressure to get this one right, but at the time of appointing the likes of Adams or Hughes there weren't many detractors.
As a CEO I would think him trusting in the two guys he employed with regards bringing players in and getting a good squad then it not unusual to back them.
I thought at the time giving the likes of McDonald a 2 year deal and Derbyshire on an 18 month deal were strange especially the Matt Derbyshire deal, it looked very much like an old mates situation, even though it could have been worse as we tried to sign him in the closed season.

Can't you see what @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 has posted is exactly what you are asking of for Bradford City, first of all money men (one a billionaire) who have bankroll Salford and part-owners who have won International caps, European Cup, Premierships and FA Cups, BUT THEY ARE STILL FAILING.

They’re not failing though. They improved off the pitch on training and stadium. Gone up through the leagues. Now a div 2 club but have manage to control fan’s expectations.

Bradford City is the club that failing. It’s one of the biggest failures in football currently.

What @Kevin1954@Kevin1954 is saying is Sparks does what he is told. Well with an owner that doesn’t care that’s damaging and that’s why him and @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler should do what is required and resign from any position at the club.

Agree @Bronco@Bronco at the time most were happy including myself, but what are they going to do differently this time, or are we going to have the same conversations in 12 months time. What makes him so sure GA will succeed where Adams and Hughes failed. Nothings different as far as I can see, except the initials on the training gear. I hope they prove me wrong, but it's the long term strategy we need in place so that a structure is in place for when GA does leave.

I am a bit mixed with Ryan, have to be honest - he has done well commercially, he has provided decent budgets to the managers BUT he has signed off some shocking football deals to the point of great naivety. I found his recent interview trying to justify his football achievements frankly embarrassing and taking us fans for muppets!

    Of course there were detractors.
Read the posts the day we appointed Hughes.
All the warnings were there from the Stoke fans.
Regards Derek, his record in the lower leagues is quality, but most fans understood that it came at a price. Real attritional football and an ego that would divide.
So imo there were detractors, but because we are desperate and impatient, many were forgiving.

The only difference is this season we have filled the squad with really poor loans.
Last season, our loan players contributed to a play off finish.
I'm still in the belief that once our attacking options are back in Pattison, Chapman and Oliver, all at 100%, we will get more points.
The two current centre backs need upgrading.
Apart from that we will come good with more game time for players like Wilson and Bobby.

Absolutely fair observation. I really want to see a fit Oliver back, for two reasons, one something different under a different manager and lastly to give Cookie competition. Let’s all be honest , it’s certainly not the old “ hungry” Cookie we recognise from last season .Recently his edge has gone, imho.

Not unexpected but you seem to not want to debate the situation at Salford they are a club YOU should be holding up as an example of what Bradford City should be they have exactly what you accuse Bradford City of not having, an owner who cares and pumps money into the club to bring them success and co-owners who have years of football experience at the highest level, stop bumbling along and answer the question.

A few on here behave yourself, this forum is hardly a barometer of Bradford City fans as is the case with any other football forums.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing the majority of Bradford City fans saw his past record at Ross County, Plymouth Argyle and Morecambe and believed Derek Adams was the right fit for Bradford City football club, if you thought differently at the time you were in a very small minority.

I don't know if this appointment will turn out any differently, I'm saying Ryan can only take advice from the people who have been appointed on the football side of the club, my original answer was in regards the contracts offered to the likes of McDonald and Derbyshire at the time.
I also don't know if what the club are saying is correct with regards who applied for the job and the interviewing process, do others on this forum ?.
Looking at your details and your age you have probably been watching Bradford City for 40/45 years plus ?, here is a list of managers various chairmen ETC have appointed at our club since 1975, how many have brought us any sort of success, this is not excusing Ryan for his recent poor record with regards his appointments but I believe we need to get a bit of balance to the debate in the past people in power have hardly been right with their appointments of managers, those in red were caretaker managers until the next permanent manager was appointed, 28 appointments with little success's, if you believe some on here it's our fault for not demanding better.

If as we should have won promotion last season do you think Sparks would have got any credit on here for it. Would he hell as like all the credit rightly would have gone to Hughes Why should he take the blame when the manager fails
