No it isn’t. The four recent signings are all ineligible

And? We have Oduor and Walker for this less important game.

We also only have Kavanagh as an attacker. Unless Ibbitson can play despite his loan spell.

Looking forward to this one! Not been to Rotherham for a while, hopefully we put out a team to try go win the game.
Think the only other cup quarter final I've been to following city is Arsenal at home, slightly different but still a cup quarter final.
    Let's ave it!!!

I don't think GA rates Ibbitson so it will be interesting to see who goes up front if Kav goes off tonight. Will it be Walker, Wright or Oduor?

Suspect it will be a front 3 or Kavanagh, Pointon and Walker/Sarcevic. Odour alongside Smallwood. TBH id rather see Walker start in the central role instead of Kavanagh but unlikely that will happen.

Since Rotherham have dropped off a bit from the playoffs, they may field a strong lineup tonight. If we go weak then could be a hiding.

Any time I’ve looked to do a coupon, always surprised me that Rotherham weren’t doing better - I don’t think they’ve ever truly been in contention? Now, one of about ten teams going for 6th place. Worryingly, their home form looks decent and that’s what’s kept them as a play-off outsider - tricky night on the way I fear.

For me this would be my team tonight:

    S. Walker
    Benn - Byrne - Shepherd - Crichlow - Wright
    Sarcevic - Smallwood
    J. Walker - Kavanagh - Pointon

This is assuming Crichlow was registered in time. If he is then I'd start him next to Shepherd to give them some minutes next to each other to start the understanding especially if Kelly is going to be out for a few weeks. If we wanted to given Kavanagh a break I'd move Walker into the middle then Oduor in for Kavanagh.

I would play the weakest team possible.

League 2 has got to be top priority, and this is why I cannot understand Halliday and Pointon being rested against the Wombles.

By my count we have only 19 available players for tonight, and 3 of those are keepers. I imagine Doyle isn't picked and the rest are the matchday 18. The 19 I can count are -> S Walker, Halliday, Byrne, Smallwood, J Walker, Kav, Sarce, Oduor, Doyle, Baldwin, Pattison, Wright, Huntington, Johnson, Pointon, Shepherd, Benn, Crichlow & Hilton. But of those 16 outfielders, Byrne, Walker, Oduor, Wright, Huntington, Benn & Critchlow might not be that match sharp, Johnson is only just coming back. So we have probably Halliday, Smallwood, Kav, Sarce, Baldwin, Pattison, Pointon & Shepherd as actual fit and sharp players for tonight.

I think he goes with the below is probably the strongest 11 we can pick?

    Walker
    Baldwin - Shepherd - Crichlow
Halliday- Smallwood - Pattison - Wright
    Sarce - Pointon
    Kav

For my liking I'd rest Sarce and Pattison for Walker and Oduor, probably start Johnson over Halliday and maybe start Huntinton too and have the attitude of if we win great, if we lose great, but the League is the main focus so lets wrap guys like Pattison up for the night.

We have a pretty awful record against Rotherham 9 losses , 1 draw and 1 win in the past eleven
No goals scored in our last 4 visits here.
Somehow i do not see us changing that tonight against old fatty.
Which i will gladly take in exchange for a win against one of our bogey teams on Saturday

They can get injured in training just as easily and most players prefer playing matches at this stage of the season when their core fitness is already built

    My guess.

    Walker
    Halliday and Tyro as WB’s
Baldwin or Johnson , Shepherd, Critchlow
    Smallwood
    Bobby, Pattison, Sarcevic
    Kav.

Unless we want to lose it and play Walker, Odour etc.

I really hope it's the latter. This season has to be all about getting out of this league and this competition is a pointless unwelcome distraction imo.
Unfortunately I don't think GA sees it the same way

No point wasting legs and risking injury for this crap.

GA should decide the 11 for Saturday, then basically play anybody but them tonight, protecting our starting line up for Saturday (which is only 3.5 days after the end of tonight's match).

Plus, that way gives the fringe players a chance to impress and get some much needed game time.
