    There is a club at Rochdale that allows away fans in always go in there prior to the game they also do food, its just City fans one side Rochdale fans the other never seen any trouble.

    From an online guide. 'Studds, is the name of the Rochdale social club situated under the Pearl Street Stand. It serves food, has two TVs, and opens at midday on Saturdays, and from 6 pm for midweek matches. They do allow a few away fans in but you're probably best off keeping club colours covered. The same goes for 2 other pubs situated at the stadium - The Ratcliffe Arms and The Church Inn.     The centre of Rochdale is well over a mile from Spotland, so about a 25 minute walk.

    I can vouch for that it’s a good place to build up to the match good food as well used to be full of pictures of Gary jones as well

    Never seen or heard of any problems in that club even when you go through to the Rochdale side as our toilets are chock - a - block, they usually have a couple of guys on the door but very welcoming.

    Try The Flying Horse. Near the Town Hall/Police station on the way to the ground. ‘The Flying Horse has been included in the Good Beer Guide since 2002 and hosts a staggering range of traditional real cask ales and ciders, lagers and bottled ciders served by a team of friendly, professional and enthusiastic staff.     Fairly sure I parked on a main road near the ground last time. Looking at the picture below it must have sandy lane as I vaguely remember a park or green land opposite the car. Not overly far from the motorway either.

    There are two other 'converted' drinking houses, which I haven't been in, but are in the town centre and look fairly large.
    The old Post Office is now The Medicine Tap, their blurb states, 'With eight cask hand pumps and enviable choice of lagers and beers, the hardest decision is which one to choose. With a tempting selection of alpine cocktails, a generous wine list and our own homemade schnapps, we reckon we’ve got your drinks on tap!'

    The old RBS Bank is now Hogarths virtually next door to the Spoons! https://hogarthsbars.co.uk/

    Remember it is a decent 25 minute walk to the ground, although four in a taxi option is usually fairly cheap.
