    Terribly sad news to wake up to this morning to news of the passing of Ann Widdecombe.

    I am now stunned to learn that this lady was beaten to death in what should have been her remote safe place called home in a beautiful part of the country.

    Good to see that Devon police have quickly arrested a man.

    It breaks my heart to think that some evil twisted man could end the life of a fine woman such as Ann in such a brutal way.

    RIP Ann and deepest condolences to her family and friends

    Truly shocking and at least for a day has united all parties in condemnation of this terrible act and admiration of Ann Widdecombe as a politician regardless of whether or not they agreed with her.
