    I thought Carl McHugh came to us from Dundalk after we'd played them in a pre-season friendly and Parky brought him over to have a look at the lad ?.

    Interesting they have chosen to interview Ravenhill, who didn't play in the quarters, the semis or the final! Odd. Massively over rated player, who like that crop of other players, all came in with a lot of promise, but didn't do much. So much so, I can't even remember their names. Gary Liddle was one, umm, some left back who once played for Leeds maybe - had a beard, bit of a pretty boy but had a bad attitude, and some other fella who came to us from an Hungarian side. Might be the same guy.
    Footnote: I have remembered the name of the left back: Alan Sheehan.

    Tommy Doherty was the midfielder who joined us when he was at Ferencvaros. He was a class act in his earlier career but did little for us. He arrived just after Peter Taylor had been appointed manager by Lawnie on condition Taylor brought Doherty to the club. He played for Taylor at Wycombe I think. ML was a huge fan of Doherty ... before he joined us!
