    As it will 29th June this Monday and the club has the first pre season friendly on Saturday 4th July, I assume the squad will return to Training on Monday?

    I can’t see any announcement on the club website, or anyone coming up with a rumour.

    For those who are desperate for transfer news, and the apparent ‘now you see them, oppps now you don’t’, earlier signings, an opportunity to go down with surplus Southampton equipment?

    I would assume that they and ‘trialists’ and others may well be down at Apperley Bridge.

    Anyone with definitive ‘in the know’ information?

    I cant believe the first friendly is less than a week away!

    I hope we dont have a raft of trialists rock up this week. Always seems a waste of time as we never sign any of them.

    I expect there to be a couple of midfielders at least, if only to make up the numbers to allow 2 different teams to play next Saturday, unless Colin Doyle gets a half in the Power role.

    I wouldn't be surprised if we bring in 2 or 3 trialists to cover for the usual pre-season knocks and strains and also the lack of CM options we have in the squad.

    Just putting names to positions:

    1st half

    Walker

    Baldwin - J. Wright - Touray

    Neufville - Lapslie - Phillips - T. Wright

    Swan - Jackson - Pointon

    ------------------------------------------------------
    2nd half

    McCracken

    Pennington - Tilt - Lunn

    ???? - Sarcevic - ??? - ?????

    Ibbitson - Beesley - Humphrys

    Bench - Hadi, Powell (depending on contact situation.

    Without any injuries and depending on any signings this week that would leave us with 3 spaces to fill which would either have to be some youth team players or trailists.
