I was just trying to make people think twice before assassinating the lad. Given he has been open about these things in the past I doubt he would be too upset about fans showing concern rather than the vitriol he does get.

 

Exactly buddy its hard watching someone fail at their footy and then be cajoled by people who cant do two kick ups to save their lives. Just like any job motivation is key to underperformance. It breeds confidence and then creates more positive results. Doesnt matter what area of life it is.

If we're calling a spade a spade, all we can really say is he's been crap for us - who knows, maybe he was better at another club in the past, maybe he'll be better at another club in the future... but either way, he needs to move on.

If his poor form is a result of morale or confidence or motivation, he would do well to move on ASAP as well.

I don't want Bradford City to be some kind of honey trap where players sign on the dotted line then become depressed & defeated, at which point we refuse to release them from their contract for financial reasons - I'm absolutely sure Threlkeld will be allowed to walk away, but if he chooses not to (again, for financial reasons), that's his problem, not ours.

I'd let him go to Barrow tomorrow, and if anyone at the club didn't want to let that happen, they're fools. He'd obviously have to cancel his contract, though.
