Someone said on here that Wyke has already refused to sign a new contract but that could be one of the fake mews ITKs.

If we do that though who could we sign as either number one or two goalkeeper, maybe Alex cairns from Fleetwood, mid 20s I think and out of contract, dunno who else

Does that mean Wyke will go and sign for Hartlepool because McMahon signs for them???

There'll be plenty of potential goalkeepers who could be number 2's. Will be easier to think of players when retained lists are announced by the EFL. Still the possibility that we could look to find someone who can go toe to toe with Doyle in the same way as we did in 2012/13 and Cairns could be that sort of player after playing most of the matches for Fleetwood last season.
If GSK was to go out on loan to a non-league club then he'd be able to go on short term loans and we can recall him at anytime so we would have a lot of control and make sure the loan move is the best for him.

Not sad to see Tony Mac go. Ok as a player but I feel he was somehow instrumental in what was going on in January. Nicky Law has been a good servant to the club but maybe it's time for him to move on. I wouldn't think he'd be short of offers at league 1 level. I imagine any incoming manager might have liked to make the decision on both of these

Law won't have a problem finding another club.

Problem is that unless we appointed the new head coach tomorrow then it's completely out of our hands as you have to inform players one way or the other by the 3rd Saturday in May which is this Saturday so we had to make decisions on players this week. Even if we didn't have to tell them by Saturday any player who felt there'd be a chance of being let go they'd get their agent to put their name out there to get some offers.

Well, thanks to Grayson, Tim "Three Games a Month" Dieng has been retained.

    Thanks, Simon.

A guy who has been here that long and could only establish himself when we were absolutely atrocious gets a deal based on a couple of months of good form.

He's the benchmark for all future signings.

If they're as good as him, Abbott will be delighted.

So as it stands, we have:

    G: Sykes-Kenworthy
    FB: Chicksen, Hanson, Staunton
    CH: McGowan, Kilgallon, Knight-Percival
M: Vincelot, Reeves, Devine, Hudson, Robinson, Gunner, Hawkes, Maltby
F: Poleon, Wyke, Jones, Bruenker, Patrick, Powell, Clare, McCartan

with possibly Doyle (G), Dieng (M), Gibson (M), and Peters (M).

Doesn't look any more impressive written out that way than in Ricky's column version, does it? That is still a squad that is more likely headed towards League 2 than the Championship. The only good thing is that there will be additions before the season starts...
