Restaurants and stuff

That pretty much sums up the world we live in. Some people are in such a rush to be offended, they'll even take offence on behalf of someone else!

 

Must admit I’ve been to the Ivy Asia 3 times since it’s opened and the food and service have been amazing.
A little bit on the strong side money wise.
I would definitely recommend a visit.

 

We like the Forde but it's not to everyones taste.....a bit like it's namesake

Would you rate Ivy Asia better than Tattu?

 

@ahar964 - I can’t comment my friend as I have never been - I can’t get the mrs interested - because she liked the Ivy she was happy to give the Ivy Asia a try.
She’s a funny one my mrs mate.

Well my son wanted to give this place a try so he persuaded me to go back (it is curry after all ).
To be honest it was pretty much the same, other than our waitress was brilliant and we managed to get out for £50 a head.
Again the starters were superb, but we were all just a wee disappointed in the mains. They just don't seem to have any zing!

 

on the subject of curry houses, there is a bit of a discussion going on in the "Barrow fan in peace" thread.
Going back a bit, anyone remember the Almanzil in Shipley? @Morley Bantam used to rave about it

Haha, there's a lot of boring soup eaten at home.

I'm going to Hern this weekend over in Chapel Allerton so will report back. Some Manchester action in the offing too.

 

We'll all look forward to. The other "in place" in Chapel Allerton appears to have closed - was it Black Market? Never managed to get to either
