Reevesy is doing OK

I remember when Mark Marshall first joined. He barely made an impression for Parky and it was only the following year, when McCall took over and changed our style, that we got the best out of him. Marshall was one of our best players that year we made the playoffs (did he win POY too??).

It goes to show how players can turn it around if you have belief in them....slightly different circumstances here with Reeves because of the 'injury' situation, but wouldn't it be great if he returned in pre-season, trained hard and turned it around like Marshall did.

 

Apologies if there is a thread somewhere on Reeves but is there any news at all about the possible return to action for the lad. Its getting to the silly stage now, either there is a chance that the lad will make at some stage or we need to think about replacements. Any one heard anything recently?

As I understand Ricc, he has been in training for the whole of pre season, building up to the last two weeks of ball work. We shall see.

 

Ahh, the old 2 weeks carry on, not heard that before...

 

I have written him off

 

with all due respect Roger, we've heard that countless times. he's been injured for nearly 2 full years.
I can't see how he comes back, and I don't have faith he'll be able to.

 

Even if he does recover from his injury and is able to train again. It will take weeks/months for him to get fit enough to play competitive football given his time on the sideline. I would be amazed if we see him play competitive football before the end of the season.

 

Shooting him is a bit harsh, he is not a lame race horse

 

It shows how desperate we have become when we are desperately hoping for a 2yrs injured player to return. But you’re all clearly forgetting about the 3 midfielders that Bowyer re-signed this summer...... ah, wait a minute

 

People said the same about Scannell and he’s still here and playing so.....

 

The season has only just started. Are you writing him off for the rest of the campaign already?

 

Trust me, he will. Keep stum.

I feel for him if it is him, with some of the crap that has been posted on here with regards his injury.

 

Wouldn't it be ace if Jake Reeves did actually post on a Bradford City football forum, posts regularly at the beginning but then hear nothing from him for the best part of two years.
