    Have you ever been to Redcar? It was minging, last time I went . It stunk . I think the chemical plant has now gone. But the town made Lumb Lane look like Marfair!

    But around the headland is the lovely Saltburn by the Sea. Lots of lovely places to live not very far from Redcar.

    I know, partly jesting but going by the centre and the “ prom” it was truley awful…..The brown cloud from the chemical works ugh!

    Went a couple of times in early '80s to British Steel, pain to get there, heathrow to teeside then car hire.
    never used the canteen I got taken for a pub lunch on the prom, you ordered your drinks and they would collect your fish and chips from the next door chippy :yum

    Went to races last year,theres a few nice bars on the front,one had just opened that had a brilliant bowie print on the wall,
    all in all it was a good day out,definitely no smells or owt
