Red card for Kilgallon today?

    From the upper Kop, several of us saw it and all agreed it looked deliberate - a straight red and penalty. Fortunately, it seemed to hit the side of his head rather than somewhere that might have done more damage. It was baffling how the ref did not see it or stop the game when he went down holding his head. We thought it looked like it might be retaliation for something but nobody had seen anything prior.

    My source tells me it was a deliberate attempt to finish the season early because he has a holiday booked in Ibiza flying out today

    sat in NW corner. didn't do it on purpose - happened to Warnock in second half from lad who recieved one from Killa. Odds even.

    Lots of people are ‘provoked’ but do not attack someone! It is totally unprofessional. The police are rightly criticised if they attack someone, but they are often ‘provoked’. Ever been in an A&E and heard how the ‘public’ behave towards some staff.

    Kilgallon is at the sunset of his career, he is slow and cannot do some of the things he use to take for granted. I can see that Steven Warnock has decided to call it a day, when he can leave with his reputation intact.

    Ok, if you like, but I think you are being a bit over dramatic. Football is a contact sport and as everyone knows, in dozens of games week in, week out, across the globe players are "provoked" into actions they shouldn't have been. But why on earth you would bring the police and A&E (yes I know all about the assaults to staff thanks) into the discussion is beyond me. If Killgallon had have assaulted hospital staff, or pulled a knife on a Police officer, I can assure you I wouldn't have been defending him. I hope Warnock gets through the next 2 games without adding to his 35 yellows and 1 red card.

    When people are ‘out of sorts’, and somewhat stressed, then they are more likely to ‘act out of character’. I think that Kilgallon struggles with the pace of the game, he is now 34 years old. He undoubtedly is very composed on the ball, reads the game well, but in my view, struggles with pace. Having played sport for years, I know what to do, but no longer have the pace/speed and stamin that I use to have, so struggle to consistently perform to the level I use to be able to achieve.

    Come on guys let's have a bit of Bradford City bias here, the Southend player was asking for it and Kilgallon obliged, wheres the problem ?.
