I'm currently incapacitated and will be for at least another month and wondered if anyone could recommend any recent shows or films on streaming platforms to keep me occupied. There's just so much choice and I'm already getting a little bored of it all after merely a week.

    Thanks in advance.

It depends what you like but I’ve recently enjoyed Code of Silence on ITVX and if you didn’t catch it Virdee is still on bbc iplayer
    Wishing you a speedy recovery

If you have Amazon Prime and haven't already watched it Bosch and then the sequel show Bosch Legacy are excellent. And we have the new Spin-off Ballard coming next month.

Also on prime other excellent shows are
    • Reacher
    • Marvellous Mrs Maisel
    • The Boys
    • Fallout
    • Clarksons Farm
    On Disney+
    • Only Murders in the Building
    • Andor
    AppleTV+
    • Ted Lasso
    • Slow Horses
I you have access to Sky or Now TV Poker Face is also really good. Kind of feels like a modern take on those 80's shows like Murder She Wrote, Knight Rider etc where it's new town with a new case to solve each episode.

Oh and if you want to sail the high seas then HBO's The Pitt is an absolute masterpiece. It makes ER look like Casualty.

I've no doubt missed a load of good shows. I guess as @elleb@elleb said it depends what kind of shows you like

I thought The Bombing of Pan Am 103 mini series on iPlayer was very well done.

I also love Race Across the World - every series of which is available on iPlayer.

Not to be missed, great acting, easy to identify likeable characters and great dialogue ...

Surprised to hear it described as great dialogue as I've tried to watch a few of Taylor Sheridan shows as I've liked some of the people in them (Yellowstone, Lionesss, Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King) but I've given up on them as I've always thought they were a bit clunky in their writing. I didn't even bother with Landman despite again liking some of the cast.

Maybe I'll have to give him another chance and check it out

What I meant was that the dialogue sends a realistic message but on your past postings maybe not to your own liking....

The second series of The Gold is now on iPlayer. Haven’t watched it yet but enjoyed the first series, which is also still there. About the Brinksmat bullion heist.

Very old now but I only watched Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes recently. Both excellent if you haven't seen them.

Presumably you’ve watched every series of Happy Valley. If not, it’s all on iPlayer and it’s brilliant.

My daughter is not much of a telly watcher but Yellowstone and its prequels turned her in to a square eyed monster.

She just couldn’t wait to watch the whole thing.
She was binging on episode after episode and watched it all in a matter of days

Mobland on Paramount - or the ridiculously addictive Rate My Takeaway on YouTube.

Depending on your sense of humour (been a Mod means you probably don't have one) Tom Segura's Bad Thoughts is hilarious.

Just been catching up on race across the world. Superb bit of television and definitely gives you the urge to travel.

Just started watching The Gold on BBC iPlayer, a dramatisation about the 1983 Brinks Mat gold robbery in London, and aftermath as they try to cover their tracks. Excellent so far.
