    His point was that if the team was as bad as some make out then they would never have been in the race for top 2 at Christmas and been able to have the best away record in the country, you don't become a bad player or squad overnight like some seem to think we did. If we were struggling all season then the point would have more credibility.

    Average players don't have the consistency to perform over the course of the season. That proved to be the case.

    We had one of the worst performing defences in the entire league. They were diabolical.

    Average players can make a great team which he mentioned and you can find plenty of examples to back that up. At the start of the season they were working for each other and putting in full effort, after Fleetwood that all stopped.

    "were third" think you will find we were third at one point, bury had a shit squad did they reach third at any point? Bad teams don't sit in the top 5 at new year. It went wrong after then, but that was nothing to do with the quality of the squad it was the attitude of it. I know it's fashionable to keep sticking the knife in, but change the sodding record. Take the blinkers off and look beyond the rumours and lies.

    Run it by me again, was this terrible squad third at one point?
