I felt this way too, but I've got a bad feeling about this. If you didn't know the author of the statement you'd assume it was the owner of Carlisle, Cheltenham or Grimsby Town. Like others have said, we had momentum and just needed a leg up, not our legs being swept from under us.

Before you all run for your pitchforks and demand the return of Lawn, who incidentally relied totally on cup runs and player sales. Rahic also said in the interview that we will have a competitive first team and that it is not just about developing players. So let's just see what the summer brings and if the first team is anything like the one that started 2011/12 under Jacko with Stewart, Hannah ,Compton and the rest then you may dust down your pitchforks.

Yes, these were meant to take us to the next level but they've been a major let down to the club.

If you can't see this then you better open your bloody eyes.

What he thinks is competitive and what we think is competitive are two different things. After all, he thought last season's squad was good enough for a top 2 finish...

Presumably, if we come out of the blocks running, and start the season off well, playing attractive football, you will honour us with a visit, with your tail between your legs, and support the club then, or will you stubbornly refuse, because of those nasty Germans in charge?

Mr Rahic is reaffirming the original plan with just the 3 years to get promotion bit missing. Expectation played down so that's one lesson learned, hopefully another will be wages have priority over transfer fees in this league, we shall see. Fully agree on "if only it were that easy", personally I think Edin and Stefan are in dreamland with this plan but would love to be proved wrong for the sake of the club and its supporters.

The article doesn’t surprise me one bit. He’s a deluded fool. This just lays the way for a Cellino/Hockaday type appointment.

The only lessons they’ve learned are the wrong ones. I’d suggest that their analysis of where it went wrong last season was the friction arising from seasoned managers at this level getting in the way of them completely implementing the approach they want to take. So they’ll solve that problem by getting a puppet manager in who won’t block their ideas and allow them to go full pelt at what they want to do.

    Next stop - relegation dogfight!

Im not sure the're mixed messages @aFairbamtam, it seems everyone knew what sort of football Grayson played, Preston fans were telling us its not great to watch but gets results, are our owners blinkered and have not done their homework, they or should I say Edin says what he thinks we want to hear but the lack of content with regards their ambition for the first team is worrying.

That fair comment Glenn but this will be their 3rd season and would you say they have taken our club forward in those two years ?, I'd sugest the opposite.

And here lies one of the major reasons why McCall was sacked.
Yeovil ended up with Man Utd and a massive revenue from it.

Playing devil's advocate, did they sack McCall because they DIDN'T want Championship football and were actually secretly delighted that he'd started to blow it (giving them an excuse to get rid of him and his wages) but also very worried that he might actually have turned it around starting against Bury at home with a run of very winnable matches coming up after that ? It might sound a bit like Irish logic but nothing these jokers do would surprise me.

I want our owners to succeed, but I currently don't believe or trust anything that comes out of that mans mouth. He has absolutely no idea at all how to run a British football club and has (with Rupp's backing) just set himself up for a massive fall. Very quickly. We'll probably get 16,000 gates this year, but after that anything but a top six finish will see them drop below 10,000 in 19/20.

They won't appoint a quality coach because 1) None will have applied or want the job because of "talk" within the game and 2) They aren't prepared to show him any inkling of having the ambition to match his.

Bottom line, and reading between the lines, Grayson walked because the club wouldn't match his ambition, and I use the word ambition because that's how I see it rather than his demands.

Cathro will be our next manager and he'll do pretty much the same job that Jim Jefferies did - set us on a road to destruction, because only the top Scottish coaches ever get real success in English football due to the very poor standard north of the border.

Good for them. We were shocking that day and it was clearly sparked by whatever turmoil had kicked off behind the scenes.

Yeovil looked a better side than their league position suggested. Perhaps aided by the loan signings they made in early January. Perhaps if we'd been organised properly, And maybe added a quality player or two of our own, we'd have reaped the rewards that Yeovil did.

Spot on. Are Millwall a bigger club than us ? No, and they survived comfortably with a bit extra funding. I honestly don't know why they have bought this club because NO-ONE outside of the PL makes money out of football. All I can suggest is that Rahic has talked Rupp into backing him (strange considering they don't seem to have joint history) and the whole thing is a personal vanity project for the Bosnian.

It’s none of your business if people choose to renew, or not for that matter. I’ve seen plenty of crap over the years on the pitch, but going to City with first family and now friends is about far more than between 3-5pm. I feel lost on Saturdays atm, whether the product on the pit is crap or not.

So yes I’ll be there next season regardless supporting our club, socialising with friends which is the main part for me. It’s a sad state of affairs if people start judging people for supporting their football club.

Well said , i posted earlier i've renewed but whether i attend all matches is another thing . Bradford City will still be here long after the present owners have gone . Not renewing was never an option for me , i would not put the future of our club in danger by not supporting them financial wise just to make a " Statement " . I worry for the future and have not been inspired by any of the mutterings coming out of VP , but time will tell i suppose .

    He's got a point though.

When fans make a proper stand, it can force the hand of the owners.

These owners will ruin this club.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Millwall are a bigger club. More money, an up and coming part of London. Whether we like it or not we as fans are going to have to get used to the onwers strategy because its clear after todays statement that they are determined to stick with it.
