That's been their plan from day one. They have no aspertions for promotion for our club,don't sleep and breath Bradford city like allthe fans do.They saw alarge fan base and thought theres easy money to be made. If they had any ambition for the club they would have made funds available in January,but declined the opportunity.They have no intention of there spending any of their own cash sadly. The future looks bleak.

I'm sorry but i didn't sign up in 1970 to support a financially solvent club. I fully understand your point but i want rollercoaster, white knuckle BCAFC that i've been used to over all these years. West Brom are one of the most solvent clubs in the top four divisions but ask any of their fans and they'd tell you they've had enough of competing for the sake of competing. Whilst i don't want to see our club in financial turmoil, i really would like to think we're competing for good quality players whatever their age.

they saw a big club with a big fanbase and thought, right, lets implement a system to keep the club afloat, don't get relegated and every year keep trying new young player until we hit jackpot three to four times, then sell up and leave 5 million richer

while in all that time, the club did NOTHING but moved from 14th to 8th back to 16th back to 9th back to 12th back to 14th in 10 years!

THAT IS exactly what they want!

Promotion is headache for them... so yes, thats exactly what I'm saying, and its quite clear to a lot of us thats what they want..

 

So tell me, if what they want is to languish in League 1 forever more, why did they panic and sack McCall when it started to look like our chance of finishing in the top 6 was severely at risk, and then try to sign a manager (on a long contract) with a proven track record of getting out of this league?

 

i think its pretty obvious to everyone why they sacked McCall, they didn't give him any funds so he fails and they have an excuse to say goodbye!
McCall was speaking out about the fact the chairman didn't want to build a team to push on for promotion, they wanted to have a team which is safe from relegation but which is also a team that can be used to develop youth..... that was not McCall!

and they wanted Grayson to be a yes man, but he wasn't up for that and said no, for the same reason Parkinson walked

now they are looking hard for a young yes man, who the fans have no idea about and any failure can be blamed on him.... a city Legend is the last thing these owners wanted/want at the club

For starters, since they wanted a 'yes' man, why not ask Greg to look after the squad for the remaining season? Why pay top dollar for a manager who's got a promotion more times than not in L1?

Or, simply keep Staurt and then when it continues to go horribly wrong, blame him at the end of the season and say we're now going to have to sell any assets, to keep afloat due to our now perilous state etc

Or simply buy Rochdale or AFC Wimbledon, clubs who's fans expect to have a policy of raising youngsters and sell then and a life in L1

I'm firmly of the belief that our two German gentlemen are not what we need at Bradford City , not because theres a hidden agenda but because at least one of them doesn't know how to run a football club. Re the chairman and edin in paticular i am
entitled to my opinion and especially after watching the youtube interview i am eve more Certain.

The guy is a natural talker, and stuff like that helps his cause, he can sell his arguement very well,
But i dont buy it, i maintain that his primary goal is to make this football club a profit making business from developing youth, and anything else like promotion is a bonus!

He woild be very very happy with mid table mediocrity for the next 10 Years and in the mean time sold 4 or 5 players on for a million each. He will
Always use the excuse of hes keeping the club afloat and its a long term plan,
