For those who remember their time at the club, I wish John would slow down a bit he still has a pretty broad Scots accent even though he's lived in God's own County for many years.

 

Yes he is still very broad with his accent. Some great anecdotes.

 

@Kevin1954 1954 is that you Mega mentioned in the latest BRING ON THE BANTAMS #6: Mark Ellis & John Hendrie podcast ?.

 

Just watched podcast in full, as Mega was saying some of the stuff they got up to in those days they couldn't get away with now, Litchfield getting a car number plate made with "muppet 1" and fastened it to the rear of Mega's car, as you say some great anecdotes and memories for fans, that the first time I've heard anyone getting the better of Bobby Campbell but apparently a guy called Rhino who played for Millwall did.

 

Yeah I was surprised at that too....

Why don't the yellow and green team leaders sit in the control room. Then they'd only have to call out the blue team leader if is full in there. Besides, he barely gets a mention.

There actually isn’t a Green or Yellow team leader,it’s a safety announcement for the stewards and safety team that there is a problem when it’s a yellow team leader call, and everything now ok if it’s Green team leader. If they call out Red team leader it’s emergency time and possibly evacuate the ground.

 

We had the same on the railway at Liverpool St . Gold / Silver commander was an alert for all staff . Sometimes picking up a phone or pager is insufficient time . When you witness fully armed police running around the concourse during the London bombings …scary I’ll tell you .

 

Yes they do . I was referring to the time of the London bombings which was a different ball game on the day/ week. Scary.
