Racist incident

It’s still not part of human nature. See that’s the problem, some people think it is and it isn’t.

 

Daft as it is during gametime something like "get off your backside you diving bast@#d" could be misinterpreted. Purely conjecture though

 

Interesting piece in (The Conversation ) . Is racism and bigotry in our DNA. It suggests that there is xenophobia, racism, sexism and bigotry deep in all of us and that we control and suppress such tendencies for our own well being and the good of society.
Getting a bit deep though for a football forum and as i said , i hope the culprits are caught and dealt with.

 

Yep, that’s what I’m thinking. The guy has called out racism before in the past too. Maybe it is genuine. If it is, I hope the culprit is identified and banned, and we issue an apology to the player and Wimbledon.

……but I just find it hard not one fan has come forward to confirm what was has supposedly been said. The Midland Stand folk are generally a head screwed on bunch. Don’t think genuine racism would be swept under the carpet.

 

What? Of course not. Why would I do that?

 

Babies aren't born racist or sexist or xenophobic. It's the old nature or nurture question.

 

Nor are babies born with any religion yet we see all over the world cultures brainwashing their kids into believing what they want them to believe.
Maybe it’s time for that to stop.

How very different and happier our lives could have been if we hadn't been born into Bradford City supporting families eh!

 

Some football fans are just privileged and we as Bradford City fans are underprivileged where certain things are not accessible to us.
Do we scream for equality or do we take offence if the privileged fans call us shit?

 

Prejudices are an inherent part of the make up of every animal on the planet. It comes with the territory in terms of survival instinct - discerning threats and opportunities. How we frame those prejudices are more of a social and cultural construct though. Its a very, very complex subject.

 

No doubt about it there is tribalism very suppressed these days but it’s there

 

It’s not done me any harm going to VP for over 60 years. It ceased being a cult a long time ago, but still don’t miss any game , home or away , live or on the box and still enjoy every one, win, lose or draw. In different degrees of course!

If we are under privileged, does that entitle us to some kind of benefit.

Did you watch Man City last night? I know it’s laundered oil money paying for it , but the way they picked an opening by just being patient and running off the ball is a joy to watch……If only.?

Yes I suppose you are right, it isn't actually part of human nature. However some kids are born into a racist culture, environment/family, and that isn't just white people, although we are led to believe racism only exists in white people. What we are talking about here is an aledged remark being deemed racist from an individual. If it was a genuine racist remark the individual should named, shamed and banned, end of.

 

My age group were very much encouraged to attend church and Sunday school and assembly every morning had religion involved, we continued until we were old enough to ,make our own minds up with regards religion, I have my view on religion and I would not be happy with anyone trying to tell my what I should or shouldn't believe, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case with some religions.
