County are saving their best for us… im still having nightmares about the last time we played county.. those 3 goals in 4 mins… and the way every cross/corner/set piece just went straight to their keeper..

 

If they want top 3 they are probably looking at needing to win all 4 of their last games but if results go against them tomorrow with wins for Grimsby and Colchester which both have very winnable games and the pressure will be on them to make sure they don't throw away a play off place.

 

Notts have looked awful lol

 

Lots of football to go, but with Salfords win tonight we could be very close to L1 with a win tomorrow if Donny and Wimbledon draw.

Would leave us a five point cushion in the automatics with four games to go, albeit with Doncaster still having that game in hand.

 

Win tomorrow and Notts are out of the equation

 

As I said nothing is certain or predictable in the run in. Salford have just beat Notts County.

 

Watching Salford tonight I wouldn't fancy Donny against them tbh gives them something to play for still

Agreed. And that's part of a run of 4 games in (I think) 9 days for Donny. Big ask at this stage of the season.

I'm always perplexed at how many L2 fans rate Notts County. Let's be honest we were terrible for 10 minutes against them, i.e. replicate that all season and we'd be where Carlisle are.

I just don't think they have a plan B and whilst they will be very dangerous next Thursday - it would say more about how we'd failed if they ended above us.

Agreed. I argue that it's only us who overrate them because of our only match this season where we've let in more than two goals.

But all lot of L2 rave about them(various good youtubers) when in reality they are the definition of a one trick pony.

I always thought their manager was a weak link, amongst a gang of streetwise managers (Alexander, Jackson, McCann and Moore) - reminds me of McCall in charge of us in 2008/9.

Which to me wasn't a surprise.

Salford were good when they had a full squad to chose from and then fell away badly when they had an injury crisis.

L2 is about how your squad copes when you have a lot of key personnel out. We're up there, because our record hasn't been that bad when that happened to us (i.e. midtable as opposed to relegation form)

As Park pointed out, they are good away from home. Similar to Donny and Chesterfield who for me, remain the two best sides we've seen. We'll have to be careful on Thursday.

 

They panned us to be fair.

Today they looked cumbersome and flat.

I think Jatta and McGoldrick are probably good enough to get them promoted, but I didn't see much quality throughout the team today. One or two flashes.
