He's surely going to be sacked? This is the most monumental collapse possible. Even in Jan, there were clubs wanting Sadler so Walsall missed out on a decent compo package there. They rejected multiple 6 figure bids for Jellis in January too, last one from Wycombe was allegedly £350k. They won't get anywhere near that again.

 

Walsall just aren't moving the ball around. Just hoofing it up the pitch achieves nothing against Wimbledon. They just scrap and grab on and make everything difficult. Need to move them around and turn them, use some pace.

 

Struggling to get into the game and the subs are like for like? Walsall still playing with a back 5 at this stage and 1 up top. It's amazing that managers these days pray Plan A somehow clicks rather than try something else for 10/15. Especially in must win scenarios.

 

6 mins added time as Wimbledon just make two subs which takes out 90 seconds of the match after the ref had already signalled how much time there was to be added. Classic.

This whole match has been turgid but can't say I'm surprised.

To concede only 35 goals over a season shows plenty of ability to me. They have a great base for next season

Thrice actually. They could have won the league - bottled it. They could have gone up automatically - bottled it. They could have gone up via the play offs - bottled it.
