Yes, of course it is. My apologies. I’m currently on holiday in Cyprus and have somewhat lost track of the days.

If it kicks off should the people who organised the demo and said it would be a peaceful protest be held to account ?.

Depends who starts the ‘kicking off’, surely?

I’ve no doubt there will be people turning up with every intention of making sure it doesn’t go off peacefully.

You've just described world politics. Where the masses are played off against each other.

If their left alone excuse, lets hope it does go off without any problems but today was hardly the right day to allow this to go on to most fair minded people this weekend we show our respects to the fallen who gave their lives so people had the right to do and say what they like.

What in your opinion would be a balanced response from the IDF after what happened that day, they were always going into Gaza and eliminate Hamas, they could not allow these tunnels etc to still be in tact after any sort of military offensive.

the left allow argument is a very good one as most trouble will be between the protestors and the counter protestors. So surely the sensible thing would be to force both to stay apart but that is hard when the counter protestors haven’t registered their marches or agreed routes and timings with the Met.

so they are allowed to do and say what they like but you want to ban them from doing so today?

any other restrictions on that right to do and say what they like?

Where have I said they should be banned

It should never have been allowed to go ahead this weekend, would waiting till next weekend made any sort of difference.

Nazi Robinson and his right wing thugs have predictably turned up and are trying to cause as much trouble as possible.

If I was on holiday in Cyprus the last thing I'd be worrying about is Tommy Robinson paying respects to the fallen in conflict. You do realise he pays his respects every year don't you?

Did you read the article Dave? As it says (and most sensible commentators agree) Netanyahu’s stated intent to eliminate Hamas is a pipe dream. (no pun intended). It won’t happen. The only way to get peace is to get a two state solution and give Palestinians a secure homeland and a viable economy. Support for Hamas would quickly dissipate in those circumstances. Most people just want to live secure, peaceful lives.

I fully understand the desire/necessity to eliminate the tunnels in Gaza. I don’t believe that carpet bombing tens of thousands of innocent civilians, denying them water, food and fuel supplies, etc etc is the way to do it. It seems to me that there is a strong revenge motive from Netanyahu going on here. I don’t believe he cares how many innocent civilians he kills, as long as he appeases the ultra Orthodox religious extremists who are keeping him in power.

The very last thing Tommy Robinson is doing in London is paying his respects.

I’m on a coach being transported to my flight home from Paphos airport. Nowt to do except look at my phone.

I'm not one for banning marches in general and not sure how you could police a situation if you did ban a march.

However, I do find it disgusting and disrespectful that the Pro-Palestine hate mob have arranged one this weekend. They can have their marches on any other day or weekend they want.

By that very logic neither are half a million people in London to give their backing to the Palestinians. Most of them don't even know where Gaza is let alone protest in their favour. Most of middle east don't give a shit about the people of Palestine, it's just the excuse they need to have a go at the Western democracy.
    All about taking sides innit.

Seems like the Nazi supporting right wing headbangers have turned up.

They have a big dilemma today don’t they.

They hate Jewish people , they hate Muslim people , what will their chant be when trying to confront those protesting against the conflict. Perhaps they might pick on those protecting them …the police?

Well done Home Secretary, what an utter moron.

Of course there is a revenge motive behind what Netanyahu is doing why would anyone expect anything different after Israel was invaded by a terrorist group and 1400 Israelis killed and some taken hostage, Hamas knew exactly what they were doing and I'd suspect knew exactly what rersponce an ultra right wing Prime Minister of Israel would take.

You make it sound like there is only one side killing innocent men, women and children, remember who started this particular incident, it is horrendous what we're seeing but if anyone expected anything different I'd suggest they are a little naive, with regards a solution to this war maybe revisiting this would be a possibility Abraham Accords could be a stating point.
