Pre-season update

it does seem very spicy

 

ok, pre-season, don't read too much into it and all that but reading Parker's blog on T&A it sounds like a pretty decent performance. Not sure of the strength of the team Rovers put out but still good to read. Hopefully some of our posters will give their first hand reports later.

Imagine you're a Blackburn fan. You go to League 2 Bradford City as a Championship club with a full strength squad, and you lose 2-0. You'd be well piddled off. Folks, this is Adams Ball! Confidence must be high tonight.

 

New unsung heroes and a preseason full of promise. Exceeded my expectations anyway. I think we have found the 'chosen one'!!

 

Reading on twitter about the strength of the Blackburn team Someone said that 8 of that 11 would start against Swansea

 

Yep, my info too. They were looking for a result and a decent performance. They got neither. We did.

 

More or less first 11.

 

We seem to have a great team spirit and work ethic.

I can't wait for the first game of the season to see just how far we have developed as a team against Exeter who have been there or thereabouts for the last few seasons.

 

Really enjoyed that game and we were well worth the win. Some promising performances notably from Watt, Threlkeld, Canavan and Angol.

 

Well that’s the best I’ve seen City play for years. First ten minutes was like watching us play Arsenal and I was fully expecting it to be 0-5, but after the penalty we grew in confidence and by the second goal we were dominating the game. No bad performances but Canavan, Callum Cooke, Angol, Gillead and Sutton had great games. Vernan did well when he came on.

Angol is a clever signing. Don't know whether it was Turnbull or Adams. The lad has gone through some difficult years from Tottenham academy years onwards, but clearly has alot of talent. Hope he makes it big here, for us and for him.
