Why on earth would a local club move 10 miles away. Ridiculous. Are they MK Dons in disguise?

 

they don’t own the bar and get no income from it so it is that or close. They get between 40-70 for a home game.

I don't see why there would be any deal needed to sign him as he's out of contact and being released by Blackburn so there's no fee required.

It highlights how poor non-league football in Yorkshire is with only Halifax, York and Scarborough in the top 2 tiers of non-league. Halifax is probably ruled out on cost grounds with policing plus their pitch is being redone, York we only played the other pre-season and Scarbrough can't currently play at their home ground as they've got pitch problems meaning they've got to start the season at Bridlington.

My guess is FC United was agreed when we had the bad weather at the start of the year and we ended up training there, I wouldn't be surprised if we paid no or a low fee in return for this friendly.

Oldham feels like it's a compulsory fixture every season, last season feels like the first time season in 20 years we've not played them. Local Championship or League 2 sides are very limited for the last game due to the the league's this coming season.
