Well I’m not interested in any of the planned friendlies but I might have been interested in a long weekend in Albufeira. Never mind, there’s always next season…..

So three trips over t'Pennines, good excuses for a day out on the beer, although I won't be going to Accrington as I've a prior appointment with a certain metal band down at West Ham's gaff.

not a drinker, but I'm told it's cheaper at footie as the club "subsidise" the price. Other events are priced by London Stadium so expect £7.00 plus.

All seemed like a scam when they wanted money up front and all of the details like hotel, venue and opposition were TBC

 

Yes when the details were made public it sounded dodgy.

 

I know pre season friendly games are about fitness and team building, but just for once it would be nice to have a big name down at VP
Preston being the biggest name on our list doesn’t wet the appetite at all

 

Unless it was something specific,like the Stephen Darby match,any "big" club would just send their fringe and junior players.At least we would expect Preston to put out their first team.
