Quite a few positives there for me. Oyegoke, Pointon, Walker, Taylor and even Odusina can all be proud of their performances, and some more much needed minutes under their belts.
The negatives are, we still look shaky from corners and balls into the box even with our added height and I wonder if Lewis has had his head turned with the transfer speculation? didn't look to be on it to me.

 

Different positions but certainly over Odour and possibly Osadebe.

 

This is why losing Lewis now would be a disaster imo. We wouldn’t be able to replace him adequately.

 

I doubt interest in Lewis will be a surprise to the club, so pretty sure they will have been looking at contingency plans and identifying replacements.
It’s not like it will have come out of the blue unexpectedly

 

It’s only a rumour I very much doubt Barnsley can come up with the cash city would want with one year first team experience he isn’t worth it. He is far more valuable to us

 

How strong was the Getafe line up? Heard Inglesias and Maksimovic mentioned and they are first teamers, but no idea on the rest….

it raises an interesting question. Just what price would we need to sell him for. If we got 500k i think we’d sell, but I don’t think many keepers go for that in L2. Joe hart maybe 600k ish was it years ago?

if its a poxy 100k-250k or so its not enough IMO. A good keeper saves you 10-12 points a year and we won’t get a replacement anything like as solid.

we’ve had some shockers here over the years, esp in L2.

I just can’t understand Hughes at all. He watches the same games we watch from a perfect position. Why can’t he see that playing out from the back is putting us under unnecessary pressure totally self inflicted. He can keep his possession policy without precarious playing the ball back and forward in our own penalty area, we haven’t the ability to do it and it cost us last year and will do the same this. Please have a rethink.

He also plays in Gilleads position in this set up. Don't let the myth of Gillead being a defensive midfielder because he's terrible going forward fool you. He's played in exactly the same position and role as both Pointon and Odesebe in both friendlies so far.
