Pre-season Friendly - Getafe CF (Spain) v Bradford City

Yep,I know Getafe have better players but in league 2 that was our downfall.

 

Omg we look like the dog and duck playing at Peel Park.

 

Getafe are quite clearly at a different level than we are. This is nothing but a training exercise in very hot conditions.

I have had to turn the sound right down. Picture rubbish, you can on,y see this side. I can’t see the lines. I think we are playing better now.

 

It was abundantly clear before the game we weren't going to have a lot of the ball. Glynn Hodges said so.
TBF apart from the goal they haven't exactly carved us open.
It's a good test against a top level opposition we won't encounter in the UK and in weather you won't see in West Yorkshire

 

Is this Getafe team that's starting made up of first team players, genuine question ?.

 

Yes, we are battling out there. Getafe have put a few tackles in.

 

We've not done too badly so far. The goal was entirely our own mess at the back but other than that we've done ok. They clearly have better technical players as you'd expect and have played through the lines well, but Smith I think it was drew a good save from their keeper. Don't think Lewis has actually had a save to make yet

 

I think they've got a pretty strong side out.

All the usual negativity on here I see. Personally I think we've done alright up to now. These are a Primera league side and by and large we've held our own. The Brentford lad looks a good acquisition and with our changes second half we'll have these!

Yes just read Simon Parker blog and he said they were putting a strong team out, we don't seem to learn we go 2 0, down and the first time one of the City players is closed down we go to default mode and pass it back to Lewis.
