Pre-Season 2024/25

Yeah got to agree with you there. I recall going to the Brighouse friendly a few seasons ago (think it might have been the first or second fixture of pre season) and there wasn't a first teamer in sight. Vowed there & then not to waste my time and money doing that again

 

Guiseley friendly on the 13th now. Although their website says they have a friendly already that day, same time. Guessing it's cancelled, unless they are sending a team of trialists or something.

Can't get excited about friendlies while the Euros are on. Probably wait till the first game of the season before getting back into league 2 football.

 

They were supposed to be playing Parkgate FC, a team that plies its trade in the Northern Counties East Football League Division One (which is level 10). I bet they aren't overly chuffed they ditched them at such short notice in favour of making a few quid from us!

 

I’m struggling to get excited about England in all honesty. Club V Country any day of the week and bank holidays. Club wins.

Agreed but prioritising a first pre season friendly over a Euro QF is a bit daft.

 

For some yes…There will always be diary clashes when out of season tournaments are taking place Loyal.

 

Already a few niggles leading to a couple of players missing out this afternoon according to GA. Also says he wants to give game time to everyone he sees as playing a part this season, including some of the younger lads. Will be interesting to see if the likes of Oliver, Wilson and McDonald play any part.
