Why would you say Shrewsbury were poor opposition. They have been brilliant all season. It seems in some of our fans eyes when teams arrive at VP they all turn useless. They wasn't we played well on the night

 

I agree. They looked like a good side, and I think City did well against them considering what had happened the previous Saturday.

I reckon if we can seriously get behind the team we can spur them on to a much needed victory.

When the club are doing well they can always draw good crowds, but as you say 800 on a Tuesday night and a 500 mile round trip is a great effort.

 

Similar tight game to last Thursday I suspect, though I reckon Pompey will edge this one though 1-0 ,with Pitman to tuck away one of his chances that will inevitably fall his way.

 

I believe on the whole City fans are very fair, I posted before the Shrewsbury game if the team showed they were up to the challenge the fans would back them from the off, and they were very well vocally supported through out the game, even with a far smaller attendance than normal.

 

I am not there tonight other commitments that are impossible to get out of and I could miss the other 2 Tuesday night games too becoming a plastic at this rate.

Same team for me as last week as think they deserve it. With 2 clean sheets on the bounce at home and only minutes away of a 3rd until Wigan scored can we keep another but more importantly can we score at the other end.

I would replace Gilliead with Gibson as I feel Gilliead brings nothing to the team other than greed. Gibsons got a few tricks in his locker and has an eye for goal.

 

Maybe it is just me, but it seems almost every team brings their 'A' game to VP.
I'm sure every manager gee's up his team by telling them what a great place to win at this is, they all seem to put that bit extra in.
Or, of course, we could just be crap.

Do you think the good support on Thursday could have been down to it being made up of the more loyal hardcore of supporters cos all the fairweather supporters were at home watching on TV?
