Big indication to me yesterday was Gilliead's ball across the face of goal and he's just stood on the edge of the area waving his arms about, when he should've been busting a gut to get on the end of it. Then he just lets the ball trickle out of play while he stands and watches.

 

But that's just the mannerisms of a frustrated player knowing he should have done better

Millwall's keeper Archer dropped a clanger, which effectively ended their season and then hilariously started having a go at his defenders

I think the pressure and expectation at this club has been too much for all those untried at this level (L1 promotion race). Even Reeves's who's done OK, has clearly felt the need to play when not right. Significantly, the biggest successes are Guy and Robinson who of course signed or were at a bigger club and probably expect to be doing better than L1. That kind of attitude is priceless compared to the wide starry eyed McCartan's who probably have doubts

But I repeat Poleon is terrible and has to go

However, all the others should be persevered with. They've probably learnt valuable lessons from this season

 

All that maybe so, @banbrotam .......... However - as we are a League one Club - WE (supporters) don't expect a Sunday league performance from anyone !! And this is where any anger or annoyance stems from.

As a group, we supporters have seen a team of average players go from bad to shite. We pay our money, so WE have EVERY right to say how it is.
We wanted, and needed better, in January - we DIDN'T get either. HOW does that fit in with your philosophy ?

ALL we want is a vast improvement ........ Yet there is no indication of that forthcoming, if rumours are to be believed.

It's the last one that, with respect, constantly gets on my goat. There's no indication of anything - so how can you make negative assumptions? i.e. it could also be interpreted that there are "no indications that they won't spend" as well

Let's be honest here, as illustrated by the failed January window - Rupp could say he wants to spend £10M, but no-one on here would believe him. The January was a failure in line with all our rivals, who hardly made any signings - not because they refused to spend anything.

Best thing is if they go and we go back to the good old days of free transfers and been grateful to be in this division. Clearly, people can't cope with owners who had a positive three year plan if it isn't bang on track after two

The owners have made lots of errors, but also done some good. It would be good if some were fair minded enough, to at least see what happens in the next three months before writing us off

 

No you're right, a lot of people (including myself) wouldn't. We've had the billy big bollocks talk about the transfer windows and how we'd spend etc. but seen no evidence. They need to keep their mouths shut and let the signings they make do the talking.

I think those accusations come from our cost cutting summer window and our general wage structure. Added to the fact that it's common knowledge we're working with a lower mid table budget yet expecting promotion, you can't blame fans for thinking they're not willing to spend their own dosh.

 

Agreed. Their cost cutting actions since they’ve taken over indicate that they’ve no intention of pushing the boat out. The bottom line is they want a manager to work miracles on a vastly reduced budget. This just doesn’t happen on a regular basis.

Poleon reminds me of rankin who until this season was the only city player I’ve ever seen lose a one on one with a wheely bin. Absolutely garbage who makes bruenker look like jimmy quinn

 

I'm not too sure about that given the situation and that was supposed to have be said, but even stupider IMO was that Scunthorpe had come in and made us an offer for a guy who was out of contract in less than 6 months, both situations could have been resolved (as far as the club were concerned) if they had taken Scunthorpe's offer.

Shame Grodowski wasn't give a chance tonight instead of Poleon. At least he was up for it when he came on for his debut.
