Lets also keep a look out for the ' Concussed ' Mansfield player in tomorrows line up.

I was thinking the same, championship teams play the same number of games and manage to schedule their fixtures with the international breaks , so why can't lg 1&2 do the same?
Then I remembered, sky like to pad out their football programmes with lg 1&2 during the international break, and they'd be left with a big hole in their schedule

You can't be held responsible for the change of date send them an Email or ring Mick in the ticket office, they have plenty of time to resell your hospitality booking.

The young lad from Man City is far better at the moment and can play multiple positions. I’d take Bellingham as back up to him!

Injuries are less in control than international call ups in the lower leagues. Players have declined international call ups before for a big league game, an injury you have no hope whatsoever. For me it’s a complete joke. I do think there should be less internationals. It’s worse when there are friendlies, unless it’s just before a major competition its pointless.

Championship fit it in as they play more midweek games and they only have 1 weekend not scheduled for the FA Cup which is the 3rd round whereas league 1 and 2 don't have game for the 1st and 2nd round. I don't think clubs would want no games in the international break as it's an opportunity for some to bring in supporters from the Premier league and Championship. Also for all clubs midweek games get lower attendances than Saturday's which means less money and another reason they wouldn't want it. I doubt Accrington Stanley would be happy with traveling to Bristol Rovers on a Tuesday night just because some clubs in league 1 have international players.

Sky aren't that bothered about the international break, they've only selected 1 game next weekend and that is Harrogate vs Notts County, every other game is on Sky Sports+. They use the international break to show more WSL games instead.

When I said in control I didn't mean they specifically could prevent them (Although many injuries are contributed by the clubs decisions on the amount of minutes they play and the intensity of training) but more that it isn't influenced by external factors like a call-up is. Clubs cannot block their players from being called up, you can't even pull the old 'they are injured' these days as nations will often insists their own medical staff evaluate them. And sure players can decline a call up themselves but that is risky as if you upset a manager you might not get called up again so how many are going to do that unless its a once in a lifetime kind of club match that they would miss.

I would also say that the chance of players getting injured is equal across all clubs but less so on call-ups. Infact maybe it hinders clubs with wider scouting more than those who just scout local talent. If all your players are English and you are in league 1 the chances of your players getting called up are next to zero but if you cast your net wider then a good season in League 1 might get them a callus for a lesser nation.

The problem isn't this rule, as I said its the international schedule and/or the EFL not taking international weeks off despite more and more of the lower level players getting callups

suppose the difference is when you bought the season ticket you didn’t know when the games were going to be played, eg when home and away games were going to be etc

Different transactions and "contracts", ST obligation is provide a seat for 23 games over a season, one offs are for a specific game on a specified day, thus ST lose no "rights" as the game still takes place within the season. One offs haven't been provided with the "goods" so need to be refunded or compensated.

On a personal note I am miffed that this match has been postponed. The last match I attended was the win against Peterborough on 14th February. We then had a holiday arranged carefully so that we did not miss a home match only to find that the Rotherham match was rearranged for a date whilst we were away. We should have come home on 4th March but thanks to the situation in the Middle East our flights home from Sri Lanka to Manchester via Doha were cancelled. We only managed to return home this Wednesday, thus missing Leyton Orient and Mansfield too. It seems I will have to wait until 3rd April before I see City again.

I am beginning to think this postponement is actually a blessing in disguise given our current form and Plymouth's momentum.

You’re probably right, Plymouth would beat us easily next weekend with the form they are in. Our two weeks break may help us.

With Sarcevic and Neufville also coming off today with a precaution for a hamstring injury I certainly think the extra break will help get them back and hopefully Jackson will be back as well.

Looking at ‘gaps’ when the Plymouth match could be rearranged, then I guess it will be either 14th, 21st or 28th April.
I assume that it will actually be the 21st, but you can’t predict. If it is 28th, then I will miss my second home match of the season(I assume I will need a pass from the attendance police on here).
I deliberately try to arrange events/holidays so they don’t clash with City home matches.
But it is our Wedding Anniversary on the 28th, and we are going away for a couple of days.

The 28th will be 3rd most likely by a long distance when 14th & 21st are available, the EFL will only like use the last midweek as a last resort when all other midweeks are taken up just in case a later game is postponed for any reason. I wouldn't be surprised if the EFL push for 14th as there is already 7 games scheduled for that midweek and it leaves Sky with all options open for the Bolton game.
