What older players?

 

I never sensed there was much animosity, just a team frustrated with blowing their chance at Wembley. Any player who cares about their career and progression would then react negatively to the first opportunity - which is why such a fairly high proportion of teams often struggle after been in the play-offs or relegated the previous season

I think the board have been cute in getting a coaching team working together with no "I'm the best manager in the world don't argue, ego" involved. I honestly think it works best with these remaining older players as well all of which are 'nice' lads who can be trusted to behave etc, i.e. I can see them been given senior roles in terms of also helping

 

A fair and just question.
I reckon most 'dissenters' are out, but any remaining will soon follow, or be placed on 'Bog cleaning duties' !

I don't 'buy' into all this crap about footballers being 'professional' (As @banbrotam suggests - sorry mate !).
Last years players .......... As a GROUP halted our progress, but were led by certain senior individuals !! (If rumours are true, why else would Wyke not sign a new contract ? )

Talking of Bogs, let's see how it 'all pans out' huh ?

 

Is Wyke refusing to sign a contract? Or have we simply not offered him and approved one, until we know what finance we could go to?

I've done a google search on him, limited it to the last week and can find nothing that says anything has changed with him

I maintain, that there would be no open rebellion - rather a bunch of players who'd lost their way. As they've all been involved in some good times for us - they deserve a chance to make amends

 

Do you ever see anything wrong in anything?

 

No-one can know for sure, on this Forum. But surely an ambitious Club would wish to secure their most valuable asset ? There has been no open talk, regarding this, so most of us can only assume. Yet so much is 'hush, hush', these days, we didn't see our recent signings coming.
I'm all for enthusiasm, @banbrotam - but until our chosen path is clear, I remain sceptical.

Ah, 4 players.

2 of which aren't good enough, the 3rd one is out of contract and if the rumours are true the 4th one is off as soon as we get a brand new, crisp £5 note.

I think it's a very fair point. I agree the main dissenters have either gone or are about to be. I think there's bound to be some residual bad feeling carried over and some events over the summer could have created more. The success or otherwise of Collins may well be decided by how well he manages this and his coaching ability could be pretty much irrelevant.
